Purple Cow Home Phone uses internet service and an ATA box, so the phone setup is different from plugging a handset into a traditional wall jack.
Before You Start
- Make sure your Purple Cow internet connection is working before you connect the Home Phone hardware.
- Have your ATA box, power cable, Ethernet cable, and phone handset ready.
Steps
- Connect the ATA to power and to your internet connection using the supplied cables.
- Plug your phone handset or phone base into the ATA, not into the wall phone jack.
- Wait for the ATA to finish starting up, then test for dial tone and place a quick call.
- If there is no dial tone, restart the ATA and your internet equipment once. If things still aren't behaving, reach out and we'll help from there.
