Purple Cow TV works through the Purple Cow TV app on supported Amazon, Android, Google TV, and Apple platforms, plus the Purple Cow set-top box. The set-top box is the most standardized Purple Cow TV hardware option and the first box is free for Purple Cow TV customers.
Before You Start
- Check whether you want to use the Purple Cow set-top box or your own streaming device.
- If you plan to use a smart TV directly, confirm whether that TV's app store supports Purple Cow TV first.
Steps
- Start with the supported platform families: Amazon, Android or Google TV, Apple devices, browser viewing, or the Purple Cow set-top box.
- If you have a Roku, Samsung TV app store, or LG TV app store, plan on using a supported external device instead.
- Check that your device software is reasonably up to date before you install the app.
- If you want the simplest standardized setup, ask about the Purple Cow TV set-top box option. The first box is free, and additional boxes are $5 per month each.
